Isolationism
Notes:
(massive (and first) social change- the jazz age- Al Jolson, Louis Armstrong, Flappers, the Charleston, music is the first change then close and so forth)
-USA helps out with Dawes plan, 1924
-kellogg-Briand Pact, 1928
-remains out of world affairs and the League of Nations however they did participate in many world affairs
-Republican attitude
-the Republican Presidents
(Prohibition side note- 1920-1933 temperance movements, rum running, in place until 1933 in the USA (ends in 20's in canada, creates mobs and gangs)
-In the 30's- limited immigration, high tariffs, does not guarantee any european agreements, what they didn't do with isolationism- formally recognizes Stalin's Russia 1933- fear the rise of Hitler even more
