While the Bay of Pigs and the Cuban missile crisis may seem unrelated to Kennedy's death, there are facts or at least suggestions that led to conspiracy theories that they may have been involved. Cuba went communist during Kennedy's term and Kennedy promised to aid the Cubans in turing their country democratic again. The CIA even trained the Cubans and assisted them. Kennedy promised them air support, the only thing they were lacking. However when the time came, Kennedy backed out because he didn't want to start a war with Russia. This resulted in the failure of the Bay of Pigs and even pissed off the CIA. It also made the mods down in Cuba mad because the Cuban government had taken everything from them and Kennedy just toke away their chance to get it back. This resulted in a two powerful enemies that hated Kennedy. Many US citizens agree that something doesn't add up in the assassination of Kennedy and that there had to have been more than one shooter. A thought is that the mob carried out the killing and the CIA covered it up. A home video was even taken backing up this conspiracy theory. A theory that isn't outside the realm of possibilities.

In 1952 Dwight D. Eisenhower replaced Harry Truman in the American government. He was general and leader, but despite these qualities or made because of he did not want war. He did however want to stop communism and promote democracy around the world. Not just in Europe. He called this the doctrine of containment. Which aimed to eliminate communism and protect democracy around the world. He left NATo in place but added four more; OAS, ANZUS, SEATO, and CENTO. The five countries these included were Latin America, New Zealand along with Australia, South East Asia and the Middle East. Eisenhower released that communism was an ideology, one that could spread to all corners of the world and cause major problem of oppression and freedom. To protect that freedom and democracy he put the doctrine of containment in place.
The US refused to let communism take over democratic countries during 1945-1950. The US used the Truman Doctrine, a plan to give 400 million dollars to Greece and Turkey to prevent the expansion of communism. The Marshall Plan was similar but allowed countries to apply for the money to rebuild their countries. Sixteen nations applied in total, even countries who were neutral in the war reside money. This helped keep the countries democratic and would show other communist countries that democracy could supply you with the life that you always wanted one that communism would never be able to supply. The US stood by this plan in their half of Berlin. The Russians cut off their train route so the US couldn't get supplies to their half of Berlin. They had a few options, giving up Berlin was one of them. But they stood but their plan and flew supplies by aircraft. The US was unwilling to give up throe democratic half of Berlin to communism.
